Born in Italy and raised and educated in the U.S.A., Ivo Pezzuto holds the position of Associate Professor of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Strategic Management, and Business Development at the Swiss Management Center as well as other top European Institutions. He is an experienced management consultant, advisor, coach, professor, speaker, and executive trainer and mentor specialized in Strategic Management, Business Planning, Corporate Governance and Risk Management, Strategic Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Business Development, Growth Strategies, Business and Corporate Strategies, Scenario and Economic Analyses. He is also a regular contributor with his articles and publications to international press agencies and business management and economic newspapers, magazines and journals.
Professor Pezzuto has a successful track record across a fifteen year corporate career in Europe in the positions of manager, senior manager, Vice President (Chief Risk Officer), and advisor for leading global banks, financial services institutions and multinational consulting for such firms as: ING Advisory, Citigroup, Diners Club, American Express, Accenture and Fidis (Fiat Group’s financial service holding). He is also an Advisor to Gerson Lehrman Group and Guidepoint Global Advisors of New York.
He is an internationally recognized expert of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis according to Josè J. Reyes e Robert Goehlert (2008) of Indiana University Bloomington, Thomas Bourke (2010) of the European University Institute, Jo-Ann Suchard (2009) of the Australian School of Business, University of New South Wales, Dr. Alan Kirman, Professor Emeritus at the Universite Paul Cezanne in Aix-en Provence, Director of Studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, (EHESS) and member of the Institut Universitaire de France, Dr. Simon H. Johnson (2010) Professor of Entrepreneurship at MIT Sloan School of Management and former Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund, and Dr. Robert W. Kolb, Professor of Finance/Frank W. Considine Chair of Applied Ethics at the School of Business – Loyola University Chicago. He has been invited in 2009 by Professor Robert W. Kolb to contribute with one chapter (chapter 16th) , to his new book Lessons from the Financial Crisis: Causes, Consequences, and Our Economic Future (Robert W. Kolb Series), publisher: Wiley (June 8, 2010), among other internationally recognized scholars and industry experts, such as Dr Olivier Blanchard, Chair of the Economics Department and IMF Chief Economist.
Professor Pezzuto holds a BS degree from New York University Stern School of Business as well as an MA in Economics and Management and an MBA degree from SDA Bocconi School of Management. He has attended several Executive Development Seminars in Europe and in the U.S.A. on management consulting, marketing, strategy, credit risk management and general management topics, including the Executive Development Program at the Accenture Center for Professional Development. He has also undertaken Doctoral Research Work (DBA) at Swiss Management Center University.
Professor Pezzuto’s specialty is in Strategic Management, Marketing, Business Development Management courses to BA, MBA and Doctoral students as well as Executive Education.
